It all started with chutney. Lori Krieger, from Castroville, Texas, was a busy mom of three who was working full-time in marketing for a San Antonio law firm. Though already on the path to success in her corporate job, Lori was dissatisfied with the lack of time she had to spend with her family.
Castroville’s Taste Elevated has true roots in founder Lori Krieger’s childhood backyard.

The idea for Lori Krieger’s business literally grew out of the ground in her childhood backyard. Krieger grew up in Castroville with fig trees in her backyard and spent hours in the kitchen with her mother making preserves.
